DIMO Corp. provides components support for a variety of commercial and military applications. From avionic parts such as synchros, to fluid rotary unions and cryogenic coolers we can source and support your equipment needs.
Synchros
As a circuit element, the synchro is essentially a variable-coupling
transformer; the magnitude of the magnetic coupling between the primary
and secondary, and hence the magnitude of the output voltage, varies according to the position of the rotatable element. In function, the synchro is an electromechanical transducer. A mechanical input such as a shaft rotation is converted to a unique set of output voltages, or a set of input voltages is used to turn a synchro rotor to a desired position.
Integrated Rotary Joint Assemblies
These assemblies include major components such as the slip ring, fiber optic rotary joint, rotary position sensor (e.g. encoder or resolver), RF rotary joint, and fluid rotary union
into one mechanical assembly that our customer can mount in the pedestal. We have significant experience in designing assemblies that can pass electrical and hydraulic
power, cooling fluid, and many types of signals, including RF (over RF rotary joints or fiber), video (RS-170, Gig-E, SMPTE, Camera Link, etc), and data (10/100 Base T, Gig-
E, 1000 Base T, Firewire, etc.), and discrete signal channels.
Fluid Rotary Unions
Fluid rotary unions are currently used around the world to ensure reliable transmission of life support, process, power and control fluids. Currently, fluid rotary unions rated for pressures up to 15,000 PSI (1000 bar) are available. Seals are selected based on chemical compatibility, design pressure, design temperature, required service life and acceptable leakage rate. Leak collection can be supplied when required for environmental or personnel safety. Fluid rotary unions can be combined with our electrical slip rings and fiber optic rotary joints.
